About how long would it take to bike from Vancouver Canada to LA?
I am planning a bike trip during 2 months for the summer. I have guestimated an easy travel pace of 60km a day and by the route I want to take it is 2,434km to LA. This should take about 40 days at 60km per day. Any suggestions or input as to better guestimates? You may also estimate if you like.
We are planning on camping and couch surfing for most of it, but also want a bunch of time to see stuff. Should we make the trip shorter? Advice on what to bring?

There is a feature on GoogleMaps [or GoogleEarth] that has bike routes and gives distance and estimated time. I haven’t actually used it [and I'm a visual learner] so I don’t remember what "button" you click on, but I know it’s there – my husband discovered it and tried it out a couple of times.
